We have been honored to receive the Iowa Character Counts award for Organization of the year for our adventures. This honor would not have been possible without our amazing participants and generous volunteers. We are fortunate to be able to help open the eyes of the community to ways of benefiting others with special needs as well as opening doors to experiences never thought possible by our participants. We hope to continue this journey and give each person we encounter a reason that makes life worth living.

We had the pleasure of orchestrating Night to Shine - an event sponsered by the Tim Tebow foundation. A night dance experience with services to make each momment special through support and a bit of magic; Night to Shine gives each person the opportunity to dance the night away.
The event took place at Prarie Ridge Church, offering dance partners, fancy rides, party games, crowns and tiaras. Smiles were infectious the entire night, and it would not have been possible without the support of our incredible volunteers.

We had a great time at our obstacle course on Sunday! Our participants got a chance to show off their powers by demonstrating acts of strength and prowess through scaling rock walls, defusing a bomb, shooting at targets, flipping tires, driving a getaway vehicle, and traversing our water slide finale. Smiles and new experiences were abundant during the entire event, and it is all thanks to our participants and our outstanding volunteers that we could make this possible. We will be sharing pictures and footage of our event here and on our Facebook page.
We envisioned having this event start off with a bang, and we were successful! We have garnered several ideas on how to improve for next year, so it can only get better in the years to come.
Through our donors we were able to provide this outstanding event. Our obstacles we constructed were made possible by the support of Leachman Lumber and the expertise of numerous local carpenters. We are very grateful for the Pleasant Hill Fareway that donated the refreshments we were able to provide our participants. Toad Valley Golf course has been a gracious host for our event and we appreciate them letting us use their space to make this event possible. We happily display our financial backers on our webpage since without them we could not fully share our vision with others.
